Weird New York - Live!
Chris Gethard asked me to help out with the live stage version of Weird New York last night at the Upright Citizens' Brigade Theater. I spoke about my experiences at Goodleburg Cemetery and Lily Dale.Goodleburg Cemetery in Holland, NY is one of those places that suburban kids gather for underage drinking and awkward sexual fumblings. It's also super-haunted. In there 1800's there was a doctor who lived in a house there that would perform illicit abortions on young women. He buried the young corpses, as well as some of his patients in shallow unmarked graves all around the area of his home. People report hearing the voices of babies and young mothers looking for their children. There are dozens of photographs in books and on the Net that show floating orbs, strange figures and ectoplasm, all taken around Goodleberg. I, of course, have never seen these things. However one night a bunch of friends & I went up there to drink warm Genesee beer in the pitch black when Dyana (who was making fun of the place) fell down and hurt her shin (not badly). She said a ghost knocked her over. We laughed and said it must have been a bunch of baby-ghosts standing on each others' shoulders and pushing hard.
Lily Dale is a community of psychics and mediums located partway between Erie, PA and Buffalo. More on that tomorrow.

you have to stand on a grave to agitate the spirits. then take random pictures. you can see things like little girls leaning against trees and stuff. and aparently if you have enough balls to go, theres a pond behind it and thats where alot of activity can be found
Sure. The pond (which was dug 3 years ago) is a great place to go (if you want to be arrested for trespassing!)!

I went there a week ago. It was kinda creepy. My friend and I both saw a big black shadow that looked like a man in a coat walking in the road. Also my friend thought that I was standing next to him but it wasnt me and nobody else was there so we think it was a ghost.
we recently visited goodleburg cemetery,not really knowing how to get there we enetred in the back on private property apparently.Alot of activity back there is an understatement we have on film more circle entities than you can imagine ,like brite white circles and appearing inside are faces of a baby,one was a women,another was a small child and one was so huge that followed us to the car.it was very strange
My friends and I go there all the time. We work for the Town of Wales. We call the sheriff and state police whenever there are people there. So far, 18 idiots have been arrested there for trespassing. All 18 morons were convicted in court. Granted, the charge was only trespassing. But we have also had 9 arrests for drugs and alcohol. Those ignorant dorks ended up having their cars impounded, got fined, and 2 had to do jail time! Life is grand!

LOL! Yeah, and be careful, because that guy is armed with a shotgun and knows how to use it. He also has a huge-ass dog (Oh, excuse me, "hound from hell") about the size of a coffee table who will probably be more than happy to chew your leg off. You people forget that others live in this area! Duh!
well lets see.. ive been to goodleburg cemetary many times.. i havent seen ANYTHING! although one time i did get an erie feeling as i was sitting in my car but i coulda just been paranoid.. but anyways it isnt scarey, the only reason why the pond is scarey is b/c u can hear frogs and crickets. and i almost got arrested there to. its quite a story.. i actually fell and split my hand open but anyways ive never seen anything in any of my visits there but cops coming to arrest me which was the scarriest thing ever to happen... id suggest going to the psych ward or pigmans road cuz pigmans is just creepy cuz the bridge is kinda old and crappy looking, and well ive never been to the psych ward but planning on going pretty soon and i herd that place was super scarey.. or u can just get a pair of metal rods.. those things work anywhere!
just so all you littel "gost hunters" know. IF YOUR COUGHT UP THERE YOU WILL BE TICKETED AND TOWED AT YOUR EXPANCE and to let you all know they put a 24 hour hold on your car in the impound yard thats 75$ a day and if its a sat they arnt open till mon to get your car so u dothe math and see if its worth it to you!
I just have to laugh at the comment left on Oct 27th...nice threat...it would be better if you knew how to spell ghosts, caught and expense....
