FC Barcelona and UNICEF

For over 100 years FC Barcelona has had no advertising on their shirts, despite the complete acceptance of the practice by the rest of the world.

Now, instead of taking $100 MM + from some monolithic corporation (AIG, Samsung, Siemens, etc.), Barça has decided to PAY UNICEF $2 MM a year for the right to have the charity's logo all over their shirts and stadium.

Are you listening Yankees?
